Maria du Toit is widely known and loved for her mesmerising clarinet performances on stages across the world. Originally from South Africa, she is currently based in Europe where she specialises in solo playing and chamber music.

On her latest album, Maria presents three new clarinet concertos, all dedicated to her, with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Arjan Tien. The composers featured are Conrad Asman, David Earl and Roelof Temmingh.
Maria's recent album with Dutch pianist Vera Kooper for the label Channel Classics, featuring all-women composers, has garnered great reviews worldwide. The album was prize cd of the week on Dutch classical radio as well as album of the week on Germany's Radio Drei.
